Loving Life - even sick!

I confess - I am a big fat baby! I ended up getting the same awful cold/flu type thing that the girls had and I was so wishing that I had been more sympathetic to them. A week later and I still can barely get out of my own way. One of Molly's dance teachers asked me if I needed to sit down today because I was breathing so hard - now that's embarrassing! Last night I felt like Bob was not being sympathetic enough to my coughing/wheezing/sinus issues and I cried for my Mom - Yes, you heard me right - I cried because I wanted my Mommy! Then Ellie woke up and licked my tears off my cheeks (that's my girl - always finding a weird way to make me laugh) and told me that her ears were hurting. I didn't understand so she finally stood on the couch put her mouth to my ear and yelled "It hurts in my ear!" That I heard so today we added Peter and Ellie to the family talley of sickness. Molly (knock on wood) is the ONLY Harding - Wheeler not on antibiotics right now! Hopefully this weekend will begin our climb back into normal life again - we get to celebrate our beautiful niece/cousin, Katie's birthday and do some house cleaning to get these germs marching out!

Molly wasn't sick but was very tired so she was curled up on her Daddy!

Last week Bob and I each had to spend some time at home with the sick kids so I tried to come up with some fun ways to make the days more interesting. Fruit kabobs were a huge hit until the sticks became weapons eventually!

We thought Ellie Bean was going to miss the cold and end up with Peter's amazing immune system but she evenutally did get an ear infection - not too bad. Peter also ended up with an ear infection whcih is his first one since he was 6 months old! Peter never gets sick and can't afford to - the big kids have the Connecticut Mastery tests starting next week!

The girls enjoying their kabobs - Annie just find the name funny!

Annie finally started feeling better last week just as Lizzie came down with an awful cold. Daddy swore that gummy Bears would make veryone feel better - except the Mom who takes them to the dentist!!!

My beautiful girl!

Ellie Bean giving mommy a little smile.

This is the one picture I took of Lizzie when she was sick because she looked so pathetic. Lizzie was a bit sicker than we thought - both she and Annie ended up having a good case of Pnuemonia. Luckily Lizzie spent last weekend with Auntie Meg so she was well cared for. Friday was the first day that Lizzie really started perking up and getting off the couch and that was only because Lila came over to visit while brendan and Auntie Meg went to swimming lessons.

My handsom boy is already counting down the days until the summer. He is especially excited since Auntie Courtney and uncle Gary invited Peter and Molly to come stay with them in Virginia for a week in June. Peter was great while everyone else was sick - he decided that he could never be a good nurse because "gross body stuff makes him sick" but he was a trooper!

My beautiful Molly girl is becoming such a big girl. She is asking all sorts of questions about when she can wear make-up, when she can get a cell phone, when she can stay alone in the house - I am so not ready for this!
Even though we were all sick we found time to have some fun - our evening dance parties contained some wheezing and coughing, dinners went toward the soup and salad genre and we completely and totally caved on the no TV on school nights rule to help the sick people stay still but we had fun and made some memories! There was once night at 3:30 a.m. when 5 Harding - Wheelers were up coughing and sneezing and feeling awful so we all went out to the kitchen and had some tea and hot chocolate! I would have rather been sleeping but.........I guess I was right where I was meant to be!
GNM - ILY!
