Bob and I went away last weekend for an overnight at an inn in Granby. We left at around noon after all of the kids got to their appointed places and went out to Manchester to Atlanta Bread. This is my favorite sandwich shop and there is no longer one on the Berlin Tnpk so we have been waiting a long time to get out there. We shopped for a while and then headed to the Inn. We were greeted by the inn keepers - so sweet and when we got ot our room there was homemade biscotti and water waiting for us. There was coffee and tea brewing in the parlor downstairs and cookies were baking. Bob watched basketball for a while and I took a two hour nap in the most comfortable bed ever. When we woke up we got up and got dressed for dinner at the Copper Mill Bistro in Granby. I had the best salad in the world along with chedder cheese mashed potatoes and a glass of wine. When we got back to the room at the Inn there was champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting on the bed. The next morning the inn keeper made us cinnamon wheat cranberry nut pancakes, eggs, bacon and coffee. It was amazing! We spent the afternoon having lunch and browsing at Barnes and Noble and got home to see the kids at around 2 or 3 - it was perfect!I can not thank our family and friends enough for taking the kids and making it a wonderful anniversary treat for Bob and I.

The best Peter smile!So we are home and loving life - kind of a low key weekend coming up - not much going on for our actual anniversary. Bob and I can't wait to spend the weekend with the kids hanging out and getting stuff done around the house. Annie is still not sleeping in her big girl bed and Lizzie is still not sleeping at all. There are some tired parents living in this house right now - must be why they make the little ones so darn cute!
