Several people asked me about the offending seahorse doll that KK got Annie for her birthday so I took some pictures of her with it in her bed. Looks adorable as she almost has her lips on it yesterday when I went in to check on her right???? She then proceeded to start it when she woke up and keep starting it every five minutes for the next 2 hours - not anonying at all. Bob and I have a nickname for the adorable little light up toy but I might get kicked off of blogspot.com if I printed it! Once again, thank you, KK - delightful - really delightful! Oh and after a short reprieve from the thing - I conveniently left it out of her crib last night - Molly graciously found it for her and put it back in there today. In all honesty - anything that makes my baby that happy is okay with me but the annoying music could drive even a sane, not pregnant woman nuts after a while. The thing I do love about it is how it lights up Annie's face when she plays it!

This is hjow I found her in her crib yesterday morning.
Loving on the seahorse and it's magical musci!

It rained friday night and we couldn't go to the carnival as promised so we had a pizza picnic and movie night. The kids watched the Little Rascals while eating pizza!
Annie practiced walking while carrying her purse during the movie - much to Molly's delight.
My girl loves her purse - especially when Molly fills it with treasures.
Our silly boy watching his movie.
My gorgeous girl in her pajamas that I used to wear when I was little - too cute.
I had a great day - even as I dreaded it as I drove there - working at the Standown at the RH Veterans Home on Friday. 10,000 veterans come from everywhere to get services ranging from DMV, DSS, Dental, medical and mental health, as well as, clothes and other necessities all donated. CHC takes part every year but this year was particularly fun for me as I had a front line role doing registration for free dental exams and treatment. When I got to the volunteer table I got to choose a sticker that said either "I am a veteran" or I Love a veteran". I obviously chose the latter which opened a ton of conversation with the vets that came through my line. Both my father and my husband are veterans and most of the men and women were interested in talking about my father's service in Vietnam since many of them also served in Vietnam. I met some amazing people and was shocked at how chivalrous the men were. At one point I was standing in line to help a vet get some sweatclothes and register at the DMV and another man came over with his walker that turns into a stool when need be. He set it up and practically pushed me into it to have a rest despite the fact that he could barely stand without leaning on something. Many of the men wanted to talk about the new baby and it seemed perfect that my c-section is scheduled for November 11th, Veteran's Day, as many of them offered prayers for me and the baby when they left me. I had an unforgettable, tiring and wonderful day at the Standown and am so glad that I went! The day also made me appreciate my father and my husband for the sacrifices they made to serve their country and for their humbleness when talking about it. Serving your country during times of turmoil has to be one of the hardest things a person can do and the fact that both my father and Bob are so grounded after that experience is pretty amazing!
