Winding down!

The school year is winding down and we are starting to spend lots of time at the beach house. The kids ask every single morning about when we are leaving for the beach house - they assume it is an everyday thing. We are also preparing for our big trip to Sesame Place in Langhorne,  Pennsylvania. As you can imagine traveling with five children is not an easy task - in order to afford our trip I have to be ultra prepared or we can end up spending money on food and other things that get in the way of our fun. Packing for a trip is also a time of great stress in our house. For some reason Bob and I have never become the well oiled machine that we are in other situations. I end up being really cranky, he ends up doing everything wrong (at least according to me!) and the kids end up wishing we would just stay home! Well - I guess it isn't that bad but we do have our moments. That being said, we have had some memorable and sweet vacations and one of our favorites was to Philadelphia where we will visit again on this trip. Our kids are great travelers whether in the car, on buses, subways, trains or taxis - they are truly amazing about being flexible and just enjoying the ride - now Mommy and Daddy need to learn that same great attribute!

Last weekend we had a blast at the beach house with the entire family. Brendan was getting lots of attention from our twins but he didn't always enjoy it!

Birdie loved the little pink chairs - Auntie was loving his sweet smile!

Brendan loving being a big boy on the porch at the beach house.

Lizzie loved playing with the ball that Uncle Jeff bought for her - it was the coolest thing!

Lady Li was not loving her sunglasses but I did manage to get this one pictures with them.

"I'll show you, Auntie!"

Love those big blue eyes!

Not loving Auntie Mary's hat!

We had our traditional BounceU party to celebrate the end of the year with Peter and Molly's classmates. It was a roaring success - the kids loved it, the teachers came and Bob and I got to meet even more of the kids classmates who are all adorable!

The party room!

Easiest way to break up a party - have a kid vomit red fruit punch all over the table, floor and hallway!

Annie Bananie ready to head to Noah Webster for songfest 2011.

My beauty is ready to sing her little brains out!

Pete not loving music quite as much!

I had trouble finding Julia at first because she was literally standing in a ray of sunlight!

My girl loves to sing!

It was a very touching assembly. At the end they had all of the students grades pre-k through 6 stand up and they all sang Amazing Grace in honor of Mr. Jackson. Mr. Jackson lost his battle with cancer this year and had been a beloved part of the Noah Webster community. Hearing 400 little voices singing Amazing Grace followed by a moment of silence in remembrance of their friend was so beautiful and a very fitting tribute to a man who spent the majority of his time taking care of the building while singing!

Peter's grade - he looks so happy!

Annie Bananie came with me and she is SO ready for school!

Miss Kelly's Bounce U kids!
Group hug for Miss Kelley!

Molly worte a letter to Miss Kelley telling he how special she was! It was very sweet!
That's probably my last blog until after Sesame Place. The kids get out of school on Tuesday and we are headed straight out to Pennsylvania. I can't wait to get some time away with the kids - we are praying for some good weather! GNM - ILY!
