I'm Back!

I have a few leftover pictures from Molly Dolls birthday and just some other tidbits. Poor Banana has another ear infection - We took her into the pediatrician yesterday when we became concerned with her lack of sleep and crazy whiney attitude. Her right ear is very infected and her left ear is starting a new infection! Not sure what we are going to do with this little chickie but Bob and I are exhausted from the sleepless nights - last night she was so inconsolable that I did something that I make fun of other parents for doing - I sent Bob out with her in the car to try to get her to sleep sitting up. It worked! We were so desperate for her to stop wailing and feel a little bit better that I would have run through the streets naked if it would have made her feel better!
We had our appointment with the fetal specialist yesterday - it was supposed to be our last appointment but now we have another one in two weeks. Baby looks great but she is REALLY big and still retaining some fluid. They are estimating that with 6 weeks to go she is already 6 pounds 11 ounces - ugggg! Which brings us to the next baby announcement - another name change for our little angel. We never loved Nola and always loved another name and were trying to find a way to make it work - we finally did it and we are so excited and have promised the kids that this is it - the final name whether she looks like it or not! Elizabeth Lynn Harding Wheeler - our sweet little girl finally has her name and it feels right, looks right and the kids love it. Papa picked it, we love the name and are proud to have her have Auntie Beth's name in a big way. So there you have it - Baby Libby!
A friend of ours took the picture at the top of the blog - Toni Federrici. I loved how casual and sweet the kids look all playing together. Anyone who sent the e-mail asking for it will get it via e-mail shortly!

Mommy is a sucker for her girl and Molly did get 2 Bratz dolls for her birthday - I dislike them intensely but she LOVES them so we indulged her!
Daddy was all dressed up for the wake of a friend's father and snuggling with Annie - I thought they looked cute enough for a picture! Annie is also wearing the sleeper that was Molly's favorite when she was little. Awww!
As we were getting ready to leave for the wake I looked over at Bob and this is what I saw. His response.....I was just going to not sit at the wake! I refused to leave with him until he changed his socks!
Grammy came over to see Molly girl on her birthday!
KK and the birthday girl!
Grammy and Peter listening to Peter's MP3 player - how cool is Grammy?

Mommy and the birthday girl - daddy thinks we look alike!
Ready for this? Pete woke us up at 1:15 am the other night telling me that he had gum in his hair. We thought he was dreaming but apparently he was NOT! When we turned on the light I sent him for scissors and the camera and now he has a bald spot on the side of his head and a fun story to tell people. Apparently he took a pack of gum off of the kitchen counter and chewed it all before falling asleep - he then got it in his hair, across his chest on his PJ's and all over his sheets. Good things this kid is cute!
Annie dressed in one of Grammy's t-shirts. P apa brought her in telling us that she looked like a little princess in this outfit! He is such a sucker for Annie!
Tim (or Timmy as my son likes to call him) installed our new, huge, deep, baby washing sink on Tuesday. Elizabeth can come anytime now! Annie loved the sink and I loved it more not having to bend over the tub! Banana thought she was the queeen as she got her first tubby from Papa in our new sink!
Papa is leaving for Haiti on Monday and Peter is nervous - he is worried that my dad will forget about him - we have assured him that it would take way more than a week for papa to forget Peter. His next question was how old he has to be to go WITH Papa to Haiti! Molly wants to go to LA with Auntie Beth and Peter wants to go to Haiti with Papa - we must be really boring in our house - they all want to fly the coup and they are only 6 and 8!

Hoof It For Haiti!

I finally got the pictures uploaded thanks to my dad stopping over to scare away a boogie man outside my window! So 7 brave family members roughed it through the rain on Saturday to participate in SES's Hoof It For Haiti! The kids did great and had a blast - Peter in particular had a great day as he got to go home with Papa after and spend the day being spoiled by Grammy and Papa.

Kake, KK, UNcle Pat, Tyler, Peter and Abby ready for the race!
Look at how cold everyone looks - Bob said the rain ended up holding off until the race was over!
Papa and the racers!
RH's finest working the race - Uncle Frank is on the end!
Lined up and ready for the race!

Abby getting her face painted.
The prettiest little butterfly you have ever seen!

The racers - tired but looking happy!
The cutest little tiger!

KK and Peter won 3rd place in their age group! Okay so KK won 3rd in her age group and since her godson ran the race with her she added his name to the award. He brought it to school because he was so proud of winning. The gym teacher at school always tells us that Peter will be a cross country star someday!
Yeah to everyone who ran/walked and raised money and awareness for Haiti. Next week Papa leaves for Haiti for a week to continue the efforts - we'll be praying for a safe trip and no more hurricanes!

Our little angel!

So Bob and I have decided that we had a one year honeymoon with Annie. Sleeping through the night - sweet, loveable personality - easy going nature - required less attention than most kids! She is making us pay now! Annie has had ear infections since she turned 6 months old and we have been back and forth with the docs on whether to put tubes in or wait it out for a while - discomfort and all the child is now a nightmare! She sleeps less than most newborns. Poor Bob is enduring the bulk of Miss Annie's wrath in the form of middle of the night bouts of sleeplessness - she's cute in the middle of the night but still awake none the less. I think we indulged her to a great degree during the whole ear infection thing and have now created a monster! Add to that teething and we have a problem on our hands. The one redeeming factor in the whole mess we have created..........Annie! She is a joy, pure and absolute joy! Her smile makes my heart soar - yes, even at 3 a.m. That being said suggestions are welcome on breaking the bad habits we have formed - we need to deal with this BEFORE Nola gets here!
I'm hoping some of my blog readers (all 4 of you) are readers because I need a few people to read this book I just read and tell me what you think. Be prepared - there is defintely a religious tone - although not necessarily a Catholic one. I read the book in a few days and still can't decide if I loved it, liked it or am ambiguous about it - either way I can not get it out of my head! To read more about the book you can go to www.theshackbook.com. If you read it let me know what you think!
I tried to post pictures of the brave souls in the family who roughed it on Saturday and did Hoof It For Haiti but the pictures from my dad are not in the correct form so I'll try again tomorrow! Needless to say I sat home and played with the girls while my 8 year old son and 7 year old nephew - not to mention my father with his 2 metal knees - walked/ran the entire race - I feel pathetic!
