Just some random pictures and aquick update

I was defintely thinking that I would be updating this blog more but here I sit at 7am on a Sunday morning updating for the first time in weeks. The end of the school year was long and hot and, did I  say LONG! We had lots of fun times and lots of milestones for everyone but let's back up just a bit.

Katie, Lizzie and Annie all played on the same Softball team this year with Bob as the coach. They seemed to have a lot of rain issues in the first part of the season but they had some real fun. Lizzie is especially in love with baseball as you can tell from the pictures. Bob thinks she has some talent but we all know how Bob is with his kids so we'll have to see. Either way the girls had a blast while Ellie Bean played on her Challengers team over on another field. It made the seaon complicated getting to both games, which were inevitably scheduled at the same time in different places.

Katie and Annie clowning around in the dugout!

Lizzie hated playing catcher but once she got her gear on she was ready to go! She ended up being pretty good at it.

Memorial Day Weekend will always find the Harding - Wheeler's doing the same exact thing - the Griffith Academy Dance Recital. You won't get any complaints from me! This year I had some surgery on the Monday before the recital so I was in the hospital for the entire week leading up to the big day which meant that Bob and Karla did the bulk of the heavy lifting with all of the extra rehearsals. I can't say I missed the chaos but I did miss the extra time with the girls going back and forth and seeing all of their friends. Molly, in particular, would live at Griffith Acadmey if she could so it is always an amazing week for her. This year Annie was exciting to be a part of the the big ballet and get to do all of the extra rehearsals and fun things at Griffith. She looked like a little cupcake in her ballet outfit.

Ellie could not wait to dance on stage but after two years of running off stage within 30 seconds we made sure to stress the importance of just having fun. It turns out this year was her year to shine - she smiled, did her dance all the way thorugh and even waved when she came off the stage.

Our little Butterfly Jigger!

Molly Girl could not have been happier to be with her friends all day for the recital and all of the backstage fun. Unfortunately, because I was not feeling well and not able to move around much my picture taking was not stellar this year. Molly had five costumes but I think I may have only one more picture of her. I was just thrilled that i could be at both shows and see my girls do what they love to do. This was Molly's ballet costume. She beamed all day.

I can't believe she is a teenager and instead of working backstage helping her to get dressed I now drop her at the door with bottles of water and a lunch and see her 8 hours later. It was a beautful show with my beautiful girls just lighting up the stage. Watching them with their friends and family who love them, doing something that they love and work hard at is so gratifying for Bob and I. It makes all of the crazy driving worth every moment!

More updates to come soon!
