Everyday is a dress up day in our house!

Grammy and Papa are coming home soon - the kids are already making signs and getting ready. In the mean time, though, we asked Molly to watch the little girls and she decided to have a fashion show. All we could hear was them giggling in the baby room and finally Molly let us in to check things out! It was so much fun seeing what they had come up with! This came home from school with Molly on Friday - my beautiful goddaughter made it for me and I thought it was just beautiful! Hopefully Brigid doesn't mind that Julia sent it home for me - sometimes she does that and then I find out she was supposed to bring it home. Smores and the opening ceremeonies of the Olympics - so much fun but we were up too late!Ellie didn't just have on a costume - she had a costume and a flower wrapped around her.My beautiful, gorgeous Ellie Bean - I love that smile! The Best big sister ever! She made herself an angel to watch over the other girls.Monkey Baby!Lizzie was a pirate with a cow skirt on.I love those big blue eyes! Ellie was becoming unamused with her get-up. Annie had just woken up and was a little slow to get into the act.As you can see from her serene pose her pink eye is so much better! Now she's all dressed up - my beautiful girl!My little monkey! Lizzie in her flower hat - Molly kept calling her her "little daisy"!My girl - the leader of all the fun with the girls in our house! She is amazing! She looks a little like a banker in this one - too cute! Then Ellie got all Gangsta thanks to Molly!Lizzie trying out her big sister's Cleopatra costume!

Molly and Lizzie loving on each other. We have lots of cute surprises for the kids tomorrow for Valentine's day - heart shaped pancakes, candy and a special necklace that Bob got for Molly for being his oldest daughter! I'm sure I'll have more pictures to post tomorrow! Tonight we had a great time with Auntie Kate, Colin, Meg and the kids - we ordered pizza and watched the UCONN game - Auntie Kate brought pie and ice cream and then Auntie Kate took the 2 oldest girls to KK's house to visit. I am always in awe of how very lucky my kids are to have such loving and wonderful people around them - they are just surrounded by people who teach them love and compassion and want to be with them - what a gift! So Bob and I are going to watch Survivor and wait for our girls to get home. Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! GNM - ILY!

H-W's on sugar!

The kids had a snow day yesterday but the snow came so late that they barely got to go out and play. We also had a lazy day - stayed in pajamas - ate - drank - made cookies, sang, danced - all of those wonderful things that you get to do when you are all home all day with nothing to do! Right in the middle of the snow day the mailman delivered a big package from Auntie Beth. It had LOTS of candy in it and the kids got good and crazy from it!

Molly wearing her Hawaii sweatshirt from Auntie Beth's package.
I was trying to get a picture of Annie with her pink eye!

It was not really pink eye but an infection in her eye from putting Molly's lip gloss on her eyes - you remember the adorable pictures I posted a few days ago - well - this is the result!

I couldn't do it justice but needless to say her eye was red and swollen and looking pretty nasty. Good thing she is a cutie!

Lizzie was indulged in some serious chocolate from Auntie's package and she loved it! Molly took this picture and Lizzie just wanted to get down and run around. She was on a defintie sugar high!
Grammy and Papa are coming home from Florida at the beginning of next week - we can't wait! The kids are already making plans - little do they know the enormous amount of work that Grammy and Papa have ahead of them to fix up the house once they get home!

Every morning we have some fun before the kids go to school. Sometimes there are wars and other times we just have a blast and then the big kids run out to the bus and we spend the rest of the day missing them. This was a video of this morning - all of the kids were dancing but no one was having as much fun as Annie Bananie who is doing a cross of her Irish taught to her by Molly and her Miley imitation which is slightly scary to Bob and I. Make sure you notice Molly and Peter fighting in the background and Lizzie and Ellie sitting at my feet trying to get attention - I love these kind of mornings!

Auntie Meghan's Ultrasound

Auntie Meg gave me permission to post pictures from her 12 week ultrasound yesterday. What a miracle to see the two little peanuts bouncing around in her belly. The pictures are amazing - so clear and unbelievable. One of the babies waved at us - another wagged her finger and then they actually bounced off each other like they were playing - so cute!
This is Baby A - I think this is a girl because she was an absolute troublemaker! She would not sit still or move the way they needed her to so that they could get a good reading. After about 20 minutes the technician finally got a reading for the nucal translucency test - this is a fairly new test for Down's Syndrome that involves measuring back of the baby's neck. Needless to say it was almost impossible for the tech to see the back of her neck - she was way too busy playing and dancing. Oh - and the best was when she flipped herself upside down. I am voting for Mae for her name but the debate is on!
She was 2 inches exactly and has fully formed arms, legs, fingernails, eyelashes - such a miracle. For those who care the NTF was 1.3 - perfect!
This is Baby B - our little angel. It took the tech about 1 minute to get 3 perfect readings on Baby B - I personally think it is a boy - Brendan! He was moving around all over the place but doing less acrobatics - he moved his arms and legs and waved at us but he was content to just hang out and be cooperative - unlike his namesake!
Baby B is the porker of the two at 2.2 inches and his NTF was 1.4
I added these pictures as a comparison - this was the babies at 8 weeks. They were 4 millimeters way back then!
And a few more pictures of both babies. Right now baby B is on top of baby A but that can still change and they can eventually be side by side or stay the way they are. The good news is that they have 2 placentas - the best possible case for carrying to term and having healthy babies who get plenty of food! In the ultrasound we could see the membrane between the babies - it is very thin - they can feel each other but according to the doctor it is extremely strong.
Until Auntie Meg starts a blog (hint-hint) I am taking belly pictures so everyone can enjoy!
This is Auntie Meg shocked at how much the twins have grown - 12 weeks pregnant!

Thank you to Auntie Meg for indulging me in my favorite subject - Babies!

Two Posts Today - keep reading!

What a week - Peter is gearing up for CMT's, Molly had her last basketball game, Annie, Lizzie and Ellie all went to the doctor and there is more snow coming. Papa and grammy are having a blast in Florida - they are spending lots of time reading, walking on the beach and eating! We are so happy that they are having fun but we miss them like crazy!
Molly was very sad this morning because she has had enough of Grammy and Papa's vacation - she said it was just too long - "when we go to Disney on vacation it is 5 or 6 days so why do they have to be gone for a month?" I tried explaining it but she just wanted to be in her Grammy's arms and there was no changing that!
Annie Bananie got into Molly's lip gloss - the problem was that she put it on her eye lids!

My silly girl!

Peter loves to play with the babies and he gets lots of time in before he leaves for school every morning. What a great brother !

Lizzie Mack - Molly took this one!

Full temper tantrum! So here is the Lizzie update - she now has temper tantrums - wordless ones - but tantrums nonetheless! We had her 15 months appointment this week.
She weighs 25 pounds 15 ounces and is 34 inches
This puts her in the 95th percentile for weight and height!
She may be our UCONN basketball player.
Lizzie is doing great - she is off bottles completely and Daddy hates it!
Her ears were clear, and everything but her speech is right on target. Since she is a 4th child we aren't going to worry about her speech until 18 months.
She already learned a new word - Banana!
Lizzie takes after her godmother in many ways but this is TOO much!
Ellie Belly also went to the doctor and is doing wonderfully.
She weighs 20 pounds exactly and is 30 inches
She is in the 50th percentile for height and 30th for weight - she may be our petite little munchkin!
The doctors are very happy with Ellie's progress. She is still receiving birth to three services because she is not walking and has some fine motor issues. They come once a week and do exercises, give her massages, work on her feeding issues and give us advice on how to help with her sesnsory issues. We feel very lucky that CT has such great services in place so that Ellie will catch up and be on the right track before she goes to preschool.

More of Lizzie being a brat - a cute brat!
Molly and her sisters playing with playdough together. I love watching Molly set up projects for the girls or do activities with them - and they love being with their big sister! Ellie can't do Playdough still because she puts in her mouth!
I'm trying to be better about blogging but time just gets away from me. Tomorrow is going to be a snow day according to the weather so we may have some good pictures and stories to share.
