Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas - the kids were so grateful for all that they recieved from Santa and family and we got to spend the day with family. There was an impending snow storm but it held it off until well into the next day so everything went off as planned. Lizzie and Ellie really got into opening presents this year for the first time and having all five kids around the tree all morning was a blessing that Bob and I do not take lightly. Getting everyone dressed and ready to go to Grammy and Papa's - that may have been the only rough spot of the day!

Santa got Annie a bike - perhaps Santa should have put a sign on it - someone thought it was for them!

Stocking time!

Peter was slightly disappointed because Santa put lotion and deoderant in his stocking. Santa thought he might convince Peter to use them if they came from him!

Lizzie finally got distracted from the bike.

Notice the pillow petes that everyone got. Peter got a dog, Annie got a purple unicorn, Lizzie got a panda and Ellie got a bumblebee. Molly had gotten a ladybug for her birthday so now everyone has one!

The perfect Christmas morning.

Ellie was not quite sure what to make of the whole Christmas thing!

Ellie loved her bumblebee!

My pretty girl!

We had the hardest time waking Annie up after a fun filled Christmas Eve the night before. When she finally did come out to the living room she was slightly disheveled!

Purple unicorn!

Annie finds her bike.

Annie and Daddy!

M&Ms from their stockings!

Now that is a smile that says it all - Annie loves her bike!

Molly helps her sister with her stocking!

Daddy and Ellie opening presents!

Lizzie is still not convinced that the bike is not for her!

Daddy loves his new hat! It certainly got ALOT of use the next day during the blizzard.

Santa brought a bounce house for the baby girls.

Molly is not allowed to wear makeup yet but she and her cousin, Abby love to play with it when they are together! She was very excited!

Peter was excited before he even knew what was in the package.

Annie's favorite thing in the whole world - Playdough!

Legos!

Ellie finally has a stroller so she can keep up with the sisters!

Molly's big gift from Santa.

American Girl doll - she named her Savannah!

Santa brought Peter new basketball sneakers!

Molly LOVED her doll - she was so sweet!

Ellie bean loved opening presents!

My girl!

Now Ellie tries out the bike!

After an hour of getting everyone dressed and looking presentable we finally got over to Grammy and papa's to spend the rest of the morning with Auntie karla, Uncle Pat, Tyler, Abby and Katie!

The boys!

Annie and Katie!

Poor Lizzie - she was so sick that we let her have her binkie all day and she just kind of hung around!

Grammy found a beautiful purple dress for Annie that matched her cast perfectly! She looked adorable!

Katie looked so sweet in her little Santa dress!

More presents!

Harry Potter legos!

Molly checking out Tyler's legos!

Ellie Bean loved her baby doll.

Molly got a comforter to match her other one in her room!

Abby LOVED opening presents!

Pete got a Patriot's sweatshirt!

Annie and Katie got princess blankets - how fitting!

Abby LOVED her Ipod shuffle - it was pink.

Grammy and papa really liked their gift - the kids made a book for them with pictures, letters and photos! It was very sweet and hopefully will remind Grammy and papa of how very special they are to their grandchildren.

Lizzie finally gives in to sleep!

Annie taking a little breather!

Molly brought home a bulb on the last day of school and by Christmas it was blooming! So cool in the middle of winter!
After we left Grammy and papa's house we went up to Auntie Kate's to see all the aunties and uncles up there. I had given up on pictures by then but we had a blast!
Christmas was amazing - all of the kids were at an age to appreciate the gifts and family time and they all believed in Santa and the magic of Christmas. I'm not sure how long that will last so Bob and I enjoyed it thoroughly! I have lots more pictures to post but not much time to do it in - Kwanzaa, New year's Eve and the Mack Christmas - this family does ALOT of celebrating!
GNM - ILY!
