Glued to the TV after a long day at the Irish Festival!

So the kids are glued - not even breathing glued - to the television watching the Hannah Montana 3-D concert on the Disney Channel and Bob and I are waiting for Katie to get here so I thought I'd share our fun day at the Irish Festival with you. We meant to get there for lunch at noon but ended up getting there close to 3 and picked up a straggler along the way - KK. It was very hot but there were sno-cones and cold waters all over the place so we made it through. The kids had a blast and kept KK running.
Banana was fussing a bit this morning while eating breakfast so Molly propped her little Molly dog up next to her - it worked!
On their way from the parking lot the kids and KK got a ride on the golf cart - they loved it!
Annie expressing her annoyance with Mommy's choice of lunch! This was her frustrated "all done" sign. She knows almost 10 signs now and uses them alot. She does "more, milk, mommy, daddy, all done, help, please, thank you" and a few other signs randomly. I am comitted to her learning them but Bob and I both think she is going to be very verbal very quickly - if she can get a word in edgewise!
Molly and Annie at the Irish festival - I totally forgot to dress everyone in green and we were the ONLY ones there not dressed in green or cute little t-shirts.
Daddy took the kids on the scrambler - Molly was in heaven!

Molly playing in the balls on one of the obstacle courses.
Peter and Molly having fun in the balls - Peter was technically too big for almost every ride there but nobody said anything. Look at Molly's face and smile as she finally gets Peter to agree to ride the motorcycles with her.
My Irish boys!

Bob and Annie dancing together - she loves to sing (or screech) and dance.
The kids playing on the dance floor during a break in the music.
My girl having fun on the dance floor. I think she looks so cute in this dress.
Annie waving to an old guy who refused to give her the time of day.
Annie wanting "more" music - now if only everyone did everything she wanted when she wanted.
Moly girl enjoying the music.
KK kissing an annoyed Annie - my girl just wants to dance.
Peter and his new friend Nick.
Daddy and his girls dancing.
Everyone was sweaty from dancing so much but they had a great time. We left a little early so that we could get home and be here for Katie when she got here - right now she is snoozing away in her seat next to me - that will last 5 seconds after I'm done blogging. I know I still owe Newport pictures but I am tired and have a baby to hold - let me clarify - a baby who likes to be held unlike Annie who always wants to be on the move now! I'm off to watch my beautiful kids in their 3-d glasses shaped like frogs and motorcycles (thank you, KK, for finding the $1.00 version of the glasses rather than the HM brand.)

Newport in small doses and a baby update.

I had a doctor's appointment today and the baby and I are doing great. She is now 12 inches and 1.8 pounds and totally "viable" as the doctor pointed out. That means that should anything go wrong and she be delivered she could survive outside of my body already. Probably sounds odd to some people but there is something a bit reassuring about that news. I had lots of pain in my right side and a few other symptoms while I was on vacation in Newport and it turns out I passed a kidney stone - what a relief that there was nothing baby related wrong! So Caroline (or Elizabeth if my dad has anything to say about it) is moving and kicking and dancing and loving life - what a blessing! BTW - 142 beats per minute - perfect baby heartbeat!

Newport was great - relaxing is probably not the right word for it but enjoyable, joyful, and fun. My cousin Brigid is going to kill me because I took less pictures than usual - I lost my ambition around Wednesday when the glares became more and more violent in nature when I asked the kids to pose. I am also having many issues with my camera/computer/blogspot so I am uploading in segments! Obviously I did take some major pictures if I have to do it in parts - right??? These first pictures are not in order but I love them. The kids went on ther cliff walk and had so much fun - everytime I go on the cliffwalk I am blown away by the beauty of it all and the majesty - it is truly breathtaking. Add to that oodles of beautiful children dancing on the rocks and I felt like the luckiest Auntie and Mommy on the planet!

The three big girls on the rocks posing Hannah Montana style.
Unlce Ed and the boys on the top of the mountain.
Peter and Tyler in the clouds!
The end of the cliff walk with everyone.
Someone stopped and took this one for us so we could all be in it!

Julia on the cliff walk - talk about heart in your throat - its bad enough taking your own kids on those treacherous paths but taking someone else's gave me heartburn - Karla and I stuck to her like glue!
Abby and her Daddy
The Harding clan on the rocks.
The Harding - Wheeler clan on the rocks.
Uncle Ed, Uncle Pat and Daddy showing their muscles on the cliffwalk.

I already framed this one of Julia - The only thing more beautiful than the scenery is my goddaughter!
Daddy and Auntie Karla with the babies!
Uncle Ed with the kids on the rocks - notice that the only child who turned and looked when I asked them to was Julia!
Molly girl on the rocks.
Another picture I may frame - how gorgeous are my chickies?

Daddy attempting to use the Indian sling - Annie loves being so close to her daddy.
Uncle pat and the kids on the cliff walk.
Daddy and his girsl check out the cliff walk.
Julia posing for Auntie again!
And again!

Later I am going to try to post the ice cream pictures after the cliff walk - 2 lost cones and lots of dirty face - worth coming back for!
Another note worthy addition to the blog is that my son - the almost eight year old - has not sucked his thumb in 3 days. That is huge for him and Papa and KK made his day by taking him out for ice cream last night to celebrate. Molly and I are going to make him a cake tomorrow to mark the 5 day mark. Anyone who knows Pete knows what an absolute challenge this is for him as he takes great comfort in his thumb. There is a product to help kids stop biting their nails called "Bite It". I highly recommend it as we had tried everything else on the planet and this is the thing that finally worked for Peter. We put a little bit on his thumb nails and he has not put his thumb in his mouth once since then - if it starts to wear off he comes and asks for more - he is so committed to this. It was kind fo cute in Newport when he wanted to share the experience with Tyler and stuck his thumb in Tyler's mouth - needless to say that Tyler was not impressed.
More blogs later in the day!

Updates!

We are home from Newport - it rained all day yesterday - poured might be a better word for it so we left after dinner and after a small pit stop for a hungry mommy we made it home by 9 p.m. We plopped the kids into bed, scooped some ice cream and watched TV in bed. I woke up early this morning to blog and, guess what?? I can't find the cord to my camera and lets face it a blog with no pictures is really no blog at all. I did want Auntie Beth to know that her entire family is now home safe and sound - 300 pictures of the sweetie pies to follow and we can't wait to celebrate oodles of family birthdays with her! Peter is convinced that Auntie Beth is coming home specifically for his birthday and Molly has a girls day all planned so Auntie Beth should be getting lots of sleep in LA!

Just a little tease!

We have no internet access at Newport On shore - now I do seriously need the Bloggers Anonymous hotline! KK and I are sitting in a parking space outside of the courthouse checking e-mail ........and yes, doing a little blogging. H elp me, someone - quick! I actually had to e-mail my presentation to work and figured I'd give you all a little tease with a few pictures of the chickies enjoying Newport and their grandparents.
Papa taking the kids out on our first day in Newport!
Annie's first time in Newport (technically she was very much here last year but she was in utero so...) so I had to take some pictures on the wave! Look how happy and relaxed my babes look.
Papa took the kids out to the beach to climb the rocks - how cute are they?
Katie and Annie causing trouble together! Look out for these two!

Off to enjoy quality time with the family - these are just 4 of 121 pictures I have taken so far and Auntie Eileen has taken ever more than me! What a treat for my kids to be spoiled by all of their auties, uncles, granparents, godparents and even their very own parents. I love vacation!
