Auntie Beth is Home!

The school year is almost over and the kids seem to have lots of half days and crazy schedules. Today was another half day so both kids had a play date. I love when Peter and Molly and their respective friends get together and put on plays for us. Today they all got in bathing suits and performed High School Musical 2 - I don't think we'll be charging admission any time soon but it is pretty entertaining. Auntie Beth came home this morning and the kids wanted to surprise her with something special so we rented her a room at the Marriott and had an impromptu gathering at Michaelangelo's for pizza. After pizza we all went back to the Marriott and swam - well, most of them swam - some of us sat on the side and watched and cheered alot!

Ladybug is getting so big - if only the darn binky would disappear!
Annie was so sick this week - she kept falling asleep at random times and always wanted to be covered with blankets despite the 100 degree heat! She was pathetic!

Ellie Bean is finally over her illness and back to her normal self again - Yeah!

Molly picked some flowers from her rose bush to bring to Auntie Beth.
She was SO excited!
Silly girl!

Peter was so excited that Uncle Colin came and joined us for pizza. He can't get enough of Uncle Colin. Very cute!
Annie is obsessed with Auntie Beth and was checking out her nails!
Daddy yelled at Lizzie and Annie for running and they both dove into the arms of an auntie and stayed there for a good long time.

I love this picture of the twins - they are just gorgeous, even after a rough week!

Auntie Beth and Auntie Meg getting in some sister love!

Auntie Queenie and Meggie.
Poor Auntie Beth - the H-W's took over her room to get dressed in bathing suits and then headed down to the pool. I don't think her hotel room was ever th same. I love this picture of Peter taking his sister down to the pool. He is such a good big brother.
Ellie Bean in her bathing suit from Katie - how cute is she?
Auntie Meg getting lots of attention from the girls. This was the 1st time Ellie really swam in a pool and she loved it. She shrieked and squealed because she was so happy!
Molly Girl loving the pool - especially with her aunties and Papa!
Our little peanut having a blast with Auntie Meg in the pool.
Daddy and Annie getting splashed.
Molly in her favorite seat - on Papa's shoulders!
Annie loved the little skirt on her bathing suit.

My little fish!

Ellie gets a ride from Papa.
Ellie getting some loving from her Godmother.
Annie and Bob having fun in the pool. Ann is a little fish herself these days! She kept trying to jump in by herself and told Bob to let go of her.
She looks sad because we told her that it was time to go but sometimes I just can't get over how beautiful she is. I love the look on her face - we call these puppy dog eyes in our house - they work best on Daddy!
Papa and Annie passing the ball to the big kids!
The second we walked into the pool area Lizzie started screaming - we have no idea why. She sat on me most of the the time but then went with Kake and hung out. I have no idea what Molly's expression was in regard to!
Beth has a nice terrace room so we decided to go back to her room via the sliding glass door in the back. The problem - Beth could not figure out how to open the door. The other problem - while Beth was trying to figure out the door we could see Peter in the background with the phone to his ear and a room service menu in his hand. He didn't end up ordering - he was just joking but we were all a little nervous for a while.
Lizzie did some lobbying to stay with Auntie Beth in her comfy Marriott room!

Checking to be sure there was enough bounce in the bed!
Free cookies in the lobby for snack - does it get better?
Ice water with lemons - Annie wants to move into the hotel.
We thought Papa had brought the big kids to the lobby but Daddy soon found out that he had brought them home to his house - at 9 p.m. - 2 hours past bedtime! He dropped them off later!
Ellie in her dance pajama- Lizzie refused to put on her little skirt!
Ellie loved the cookies!
Lizzie just thought she was hot stuff sitting in her own chair with her cookies!
We had a blast and it was nice to get to spend time with Auntie Beth. We have a crazy weekend this weekend with Molly's dance recital and the Memorial Day Parade and then hopefully some time at the beach house with Grammy and Papa and the rest of the family. I got to see the girls rehearsing their Irish dance and I am in awe of my Molly's coordination and poise - I also love her big grin!
Auntie Kara asked me to blog again and I do anything my pregnant cousins ask for so here you go! Oh, yes, did I mention that Auntie Kara and Uncle Rob are having Baby #2? We can't wait to meet baby Macklyn or Baby Eiley (not positive about either spelling!) in January and see Reillyn become a big brother! Our family just keeps growing and we couldn't be happier!

Another long, interesting, wonderful week!

Some weeks get so full so quickly that I can't find the time to write here. Other weeks I sit down and realize that there is not a whole lot to write about. Our family is sad right now as my uncle spends his last days with his family after a long battle with cancer. Uncle John is my mother's brother and the thought of losing a brother, no matter how long they lived is devastating to me. Our comfort, as always is that soon he will be wrapped in the warm embrace of God's loving arms and he will be home with his parents and his brother. We are sending all of our love and prayers to Uncle John's wife, Carlene and his sons. I love my girl's fashion choices! We found these cool converse sneakers at Old Navy and she fell in love! How could I refuse the sale price of $5.00?Molly's interesting new shoes! She loves anything pink and sparkly! My girls in their parade!Uncle Ed came to visit last week and had a blast outside with the girls. He and Annie stayed out util dark having a tea party in the little playhouse outside. We had to force them in. I guess Uncle Ed needed a little goddaughter bonding time. The twins giving us puppy dog eyes to come outside. We gave in!Annie making a "salad"!Lizzie - bug - so confident on the stairs now. Annie got this wheelbarrel from Auntie Ann and she plays with it constantly! The problem - we need another one for the twins so they stop trying to take it away!My Beanie Baby looking gorgeous and not sick - finally!Papa showing the girls videos of Katie and Abby!Annie's smile - it melts my heart!I wanted some pictures of the twins so that I could give updates form their doctor appointments. They were very cooperative - other than the whole binky thing! Our little buggy weighed in at a whopping 27 pounds 9 ounces(75%) and 33 inches(100%).
She had a double ear infection (that we knew nothing about!) and a MRSA staph infection in her diaper area. She is on some heavy duty antibiotics and seems to be doing well now! She got her first TB test (thanks to my job) and a lead and homoglobin test - everything was wonderful!
Ellie Bean weighed in at 22 pounds 3 ounces (25%) and 31 inches (80%)
She was very healthy with clear ears and sinuses (she has been plagued with bad sinus infections over the last few months). There is a bit of concern about her high muscle tone and lack of balance right now but we are going to continue with birth to three and make an appointment with an orthopeidic doctor to check on things.
2 happy, healthy, beautiful twins!
I love my piggy toes!Lizzie got whatever Ellie had at the end of last week and was drooly and miserable! Sports day at school - my little UCONN fans!Daddy and his boy playing HORSE. Guess who won?? Saturday was Bob's birthday so I dressed the little girls in their "I love my dad" shirts. they looked adorable and were ready and waiting when KK showed up to babysit so that I could take Bob out for his birthday! Everyone things Annie and Lizzie look like twins! Bubble girl!Ellie - trying to get in on the bubble game. It was finally hot enough for the sprinkler - the big kids had a blast!Ellie wasn't so sure about the sprinkler!Ellie got used to the water and started runing through the sprinkler. Molly and her Daddy Our little Ladybug - too cute!

KK was sweet enough to babysit so that Bob and I could go to Worcester and have dinner with our closest friends, Randi and Chris. We met at O'Connor's in West Boylston and had great conversation, great food and suddenly we looked at the clock and it was 10 pm. We didn't get home until after 11:30 but KK was wonderful and had everyone in bed - happy and feeling safe and sound with their Auntie! Bob had a wonderful day - he got phone calls from people wishing him a Happy Birthday all day and a bunch of my family stopped over to say Hi and see him. The kids and I got him a membership to a gym and promised to get him out of the house three times a week to use it - he deserves a break and this is something that he has been wanting! I am so grateful to have Bob and love any chance we get to celebrate him! GNM - ILY!
