Auntie Beth got here - FINALLY! It seems like that countdown has been going on for a long time now! The kids were very excited to see Auntie Beth and each one spent the afternoon vying for position closest to their auntie! For her part Auntie Beth spent the afternoon indulging them all in quality time. Grammy and Papa, Auntie Meg, KK and Auntie Kake all came to visit with Auntie Beth but she made sure that she was sitting somewhere that the kids could get to here and made them her top priority! They loved it!

There was lots of sun behind Auntie Beth in this picture so it came out dark but I still love all the kids with their auntie hanging out.

Daddy and Peter

Molly had her "Someone Special Dance" last night and could not have looked more beautiful.

Molly loved the sweetheart rose corsage that Bob got for her.

My girl strikes a pose!

Lizzie was not interested in taking pictures but she did think her sister looked gorgeous - you could tell by the way she watched every move she made and kept smiling up at her.

Grammy and Papa with their Molly-Girl!

I love this pictures of Molly with her grandparents. What a lucky girl she is!
Bob had a pink and blue tie he was going to wear but Molly asked him to wear his Red Sox tie instead and he could not have been happier - Molly gave it to him last Christmas.
Molly with her "Someone Special".
Daddy and his oldest daughter - he could not have been prouder to leave with Molly on his arm. Bob said that he and Molly danced all night, made their own cookies, had italian ice, ate dinner and had a blast just hanging out together. He said Molly had a smile on her face the entire time. One sweet note - I asked if they had done any slow dancing and Bob said yes. Once Mols was out of the room he reported that he didn't know what to do when they slow danced because Bob's height made it so that Molly happened to have her hands on his butt the entire time they danced. He didn't want to embarrass her because he was just happy to be dancing with her! Too cute.
Another cute story. We asked Molly if Daddy was a good dancer and she reported that he was okay at the Electric Slide and the Macerena. We laughed and she said that there was one thing that he was "awesome at". Butt shaking! She said that he did it longer and faster than any other dad! Wow - I didn't know I was married to such a talented guy!
Silly faces!
Kisses from Daddy!

Auntie Ann gave Annie a shawl to use for dress up but it worked perfectly as a cover up for MOlly so she didn't get cold!
Ladybug waving goodbye to Daddy and Molly!
Auntie Meg and Uncle Tim are buying a condo - YEAH! They came over to celebrate and Lizzie got in on the action. We are so excited that Brendan and Lila will have a cool, comfy place to come home to!
Annie can not get enough of Auntie Beth - even when Grammy and Papa were here!
Beth is sleeping for a while now and then she and Molly are going out shopping. Not sure how they are going to get out the door without Annie but we'll wait and see how that works!
Today we get to celebrate Abby! I can't believe she is just about 6 years old - and what a six years it has been! I can't imagine a child who has brought more joy and laughter than my beautiful goddaughter! That's a whole blog unto itself!

Life is Beautiful!

We met with the surgeons today and were amazed to learn that Peter has two things that are almost unheard of in the dental profession. I left the paper at work with the name on it but rest assured there will be no surgery and we simply have to wait and watch to make sure nothing grows or changes. The surgeons were shocked at the change in the growth between the two scans and think we may have literally watched it grow because it looks totally different now. There is a growth in Pete's maxillary sinus that is unable to move and is in the perfect spot to stay there and never change. He also has a growth like a stone in the root of his wisdom tooth that may require a root canal at some point but will never cause more pain than that! I started crying after the surgeon told us and Pete turned to me and said "Mom, it's only teeth - what are you crying for?" If only he could feel the vice grip that has been on my heart since we learned of this! So there are extra prayers of thanks in our house tonight and a debt of gratitude to all of our wonderful family and friends who have put Peter on prayer lines, offered masses for him and supported Bob and I through this hard time - not to be dramatic but I think we may have witnessed a miracle! All UCONN all day!

What a day! Back on April 6th the UCONN Women won their 2nd National Championship in a row. 78 games consecutively won and most by 10 or more points. We followed the team closely so the kids and I were excited to hear that Grammy, Papa and Kake wanted to go to the parade with us. And to make the day even better the US National Team and the US Olympic Team had a game at the XL center right before the parade. It was a long day but well worth it!
Molly and Auntie Kake taking a break from watching the game.

All the kids went to bed exhausted after walking around Hartford and standing for the rally. They had a blast and we ended the day with pizza in pajamas! Only a few more days until Auntie Beth comes home so expect lots of pictures next weekend. I will update the blog with news from Peter's appointments with the surgeons on Tuesday - until then have a great week! GNM - ILY!
