Life is Beautiful!

We met with the surgeons today and were amazed to learn that Peter has two things that are almost unheard of in the dental profession. I left the paper at work with the name on it but rest assured there will be no surgery and we simply have to wait and watch to make sure nothing grows or changes. The surgeons were shocked at the change in the growth between the two scans and think we may have literally watched it grow because it looks totally different now. There is a growth in Pete's maxillary sinus that is unable to move and is in the perfect spot to stay there and never change. He also has a growth like a stone in the root of his wisdom tooth that may require a root canal at some point but will never cause more pain than that! I started crying after the surgeon told us and Pete turned to me and said "Mom, it's only teeth - what are you crying for?" If only he could feel the vice grip that has been on my heart since we learned of this! So there are extra prayers of thanks in our house tonight and a debt of gratitude to all of our wonderful family and friends who have put Peter on prayer lines, offered masses for him and supported Bob and I through this hard time - not to be dramatic but I think we may have witnessed a miracle!
