Tyler and Molly loved the see saw - they would have been on it all night if they weren't forced to share!
Abaigeal riding on the swing!
My little monkey boy hanging on the swing set at the Laurito's!
Beautiful Katie's little eyes! She was so alert tonight, looking up at Grammy. She is such a content and sweet little baby!
This isn't the greatest quality of video but I thought some of the far away aunties might like to hear Katie's tiny little cry while it's still really sweet!
Abby and Tyler hung out with us for most of the day today. We all met up at the Bunny Breakfast and then everyone came back to our house and played. The girls and I made cupcakes while the boys set up the army men. It was sucha nice relaxing day - I should have been packing for Wahsington but instead I enjoyed the bustle of our busy house. We are taking full advantage of Karla and Pat's sleep deprivation to get extra time with Abby and Tyler. It won't last long - Karla looks incredible and Katie seems to be quite a doll! The kids ended up playing play dough at the kitchen table for an hour and a half and had a blast. They chatted and giggled and just enjoyed each other. It was so nice to just sit at the table and watch them all interact together. They have such fun.
At the end of the day we went to the Laurito's and the kids had had quite enough of each other. They were slightly testy but made it through the night thanks to the playscape in the Laurito's backyard. Bob and my solution to EVERYTHING is a walk outside or a romp in the backyard. Expending energy is great to ward off the eveil mood of tired children! The Laurito's did a great job with Saint Joseph's day and as usual we ate too much - especially the desserts and came home ready for bed. Too bad we needed to get three tired and ornary kids to bed first!
So tomorrow we will finally celebrate Papa's birthday - he got upstaged by Saint Joseph's Day. The kids made him really heartfelt cards - Tyler's had a cute little note about all of the great things Papa does with him. Molly drew a picture of her and Papa walking hand in hand. My kids are so incredibly lucky to have my parents! I remember thinking even when I was in college that I couldn't wait to see my parents as grandparents - little did my parents know how proficient their children would be at providing them with the opportunity to be grandparents!
