More Molly

When I took my job at CHC I had one hard and fast rule - if a business trip was longer than 48 hours I either had to be able to send someone else or I had to be able to take the kids with me. Luckily most of my trips are on the east coast and I have a wonderful boss. Now that the kids are a little bit older I'm less crazy about the length of time a trip can be but it doesn't make leaving home an easier. This week I am leaving for a great educational opportunity at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. I will be away for a little over three days and am excited/dreading it. I love to be in school and learning but I hate that I will miss any fun that happens at home without me. Daddy has all sorts of plans for he and the kids - they are going to do just great. The days aren't quite as terrific when you don't wake up to sleepy smiles and warm baby hugs but I'll be home late Wednesday night and back on Mom duty - my favorite job in the world!

We're going back to Molly's birthday for a few minutes since I never posted her birthday day pictures. Molly had been pretty sick all during the week of her birthday with some kind of stomach and headache bug. We were in the doctor's office several times and the poor kid had to get bloodwork more than once but everything resolved itself on its own. Turns out they figures out 2 days after she finally felt better that she had a bacterial infection derived from undercooked chicken so the antibiotics were definitely the right choice.

Auntie Meg came over the night before Molly's birthday to bring cupcakes for school the next day. Unfortunately, Molly didn't end up going to school the next day because she was still sick so nobody got to see how creative she was. Molly loved them and we ate them that night when Uncle B came over for dinner and to celebrate Molly.

KK left a huge eraser ring on the door for Molly before we even woke up - which is a feat since we are up at 530 most mornings.

Happy Birthday, Molly Girl. The little woke up before Molly because they were so excited for her birthday. It was really sweet how attentive they were.

One Direction everything!

Minnie Mouse night shirt - Molly is very into night shirts now!

My girl loves nothing more than nail polish and candy!

Molly tried hard to be excited but she really didn't feel good on her birthday. We ended up back at the doctor again that afternoon.

Daddy's Girl.

Uncle B came over later that night for another little celebration of Molly.

Uncle B and the 5 H-Dubs! We love having Uncle B around - he makes everything more fun!

Birthday pictures tend to come out great for me and I usually get a really nice one of the five kids - not so much this time - no one was cooperating.

As a mother of 5 you would think I would always have birthday candles in the house but we could not come up with even one!

Happy Birthday to our Molly Girl - we are so happy that you were born.

Our twins sharing a stool - love those faces.

Blowing out her fake candle.

My 11 year old beauty.

Molly Girl with her favorite people on earth - Grammy and Papa.

My little Burrito - Lizzie loves fuzzy blanket - especially on a cool morning.

Sleepy baby makes my heart swell.

Last weekend Molly had a sleepover with 5 of her dance friends - there will be more to follow on this but I wanted to post this picture of the girls with Grammy and Papa - they thought Molly had the coolest grandparents in the world. We agree!
Happy 11th Birthday to our 1st princess. We are so proud of the young woman Molly is becoming and we are SO glad that she was born.
