Loving the weekends!

Ahhh - Saturday afternoon by the roaring fire (the roaring part is for Bob's ego - he takes great pride in his fire making skills!) The boys had their last soccer game this morning and did great but it was freezing. Bob made me my favorite lunch - my comfort food based on many afternoons at my Grandmother's counter talking and eating Tomato Soup (with milk, not water) and grilled cheese and I don't have any work that I need to get done like last weekend so other than church we are doing hardly anything. I am finding that work is a little less fullfilling than usual - at a certain point I have to really delgate to make sure that everything is set for when I leave - that being said - once people start doing my work I have less to do!
I ended up uploading the pictures in the wrong order so they go from today to 2 days ago - what are you going to do? Molly went off to school skipping yesterday because she was very excited about the person getting her off the bus. Peter had a doctor's appointment and I was not positive if we would get home in time for the bus and didn't want to take any chances so Uncle Colin got her off the bus. She was so excited to have him here and Peter was even more excited when Uncle Colin took them both outside to play after we got home and than stayed at our house during Irish Step Dancing so that Peter and he could play Wii together. It was very cute! Molly also had her Halloween party at Irish Step Dancing - she opted to wear her Minnie costume from last year because it was more like a dancing costume than her Vetrinarian costume that we picked for this year! I have to admit that I was excited - I LOVE the Minnie costume.
Peter and Luke taking a break from Wii to have lunch today.
Ellie was forced by Molly to wear a crown while having lunch.

Molly wore her crown for lunch, too.
Molly's ISD class all dressed for Halloween. Molly must have brought up about 6 times how last year she was one of 3 other kids not wearing her costume because I had forgotten about the party. She doesn't care that I had gotten out of the hospital after having gallbladder surgery and being septic for 6 days but somehow managed to get to her dance class - just how embarrassing it was that her mom forgot about Halloween.

They all looked adorable and had so much fun - we didn't get to watch the class but we heard through the door them giggling and laughing the whole class.
Another bonus - Auntie Beth is coming home on the 7th and I'm not sure what time she gets in but Molly asked special permission to have Auntie Beth come to the parent/grandparent observation class that day! They are a bit strict about how many people can come but since Molly insisted that there was no way her grandparents would miss it but Auntie Beth was coming all the way from California they agreed to her argument - too sweet!
Our beautiful Minnie Mouse!

Poor Annie - her ears are hurting and now she has an awful upset stomach related to the antibiotics that she has to take. Lucky for her that Daddy is always available for snuggling!

Bob and I were "playing doctor" with Molly's vet costume and she caught us! She could not stop laughing so this was the only picture she took that came out!
Not much else to report - Karla and I are braving the crowds tomorrow to take the big kids to see High School Musical 3 and we both admitted to not being upset about going to see it! Pathetic moms! The Dads are staying home with the babies to watch football.
Look to the left for a poem/story that Molly wrote in one of her writing prompt books - my girl is so amazingly sweet and loving - she makes my heart swell with pride!

I forgot to post this one!

I had a few pictures left and wrote a draft and forgot to post it. Long week - things are slightly more in perspective for me - but poor Annie has another ear infection and this Mommy is tired of watching her baby suffer. This time they put her on a different antibiotic but it causes major stomach upset and my poor girl is so sensitive to begin with! One funny thing - I let Bob take her because I am way too weepy of late and thought I might have a psychotic breakdown if they told me she was sick again - good thinking right? So we need to follow up in 3 weeks - on November 12th. Bob mentioned that that might not work since we are due to deliver on November 11th and they decided to just charge us rent for our own room and told us to call when we get home from the hospital with Lizzie!
On another note - sort of sad but one of the main reasons that I love my job! My favorite patient was in yesterday - she swears I'm having a boy no matter what anyone says. She has been in and out of the hospital with HIV complications and colon cancer and she is such a trooper but not doing very well. She has 4 t-cells right now and we have all been a little shocked that she has survived as long as she has. When I met with her yesterday I complimented her on being a trooper and making it this long and she said that she was waiting for me to give birth because she was determined that she was going to hold my SON before she died! I am amazed that I could possibly be important enough to her but what an honor. I told her that wherever she was when I got out of the hospital I would bring the baby to see her!

Annie - wearing Ella's pajamas and feeding her baby - too cute!
Peter and Annie hanging together - he loves when she sits with him like that and i am always amazed at how long she will stay there!

Auntie Beth finally blogged - Finally slacker!

Wow!

Read the post below and then go to the update on Shannon Cody - I am a shmuck only because I am not allowed to use stronger language on this blog! How embarrassing!

Not much news here!

I'm hugely pregnant and wildly grumpy - does anyone really want me to continue on with this blog????? I love being pregnant - feeling the baby move, growing new life - blah blah blah - I am just not a trooper - all hints of stoicism and good humor are gone -I want her out now! Call me a bad Mama, a wimp, whatever you want but 20 days seems like forever at this point. I want to stop worrying about the things that I have no control over (heart decellerations and fluid retention) and start worrying about the fun stuff - like when does Elizabeth need to eat next and where is Annie in relation to her and how do we make the big kids feel special while catering to two babies. That being said - the best things in life are worth waiting for so...................

My Dad came over to work on our tree stump but he kept getting distracted by a little itch!
I've seen the view from alot of places but my favorite is still the one from my Dad's shoulders - lucky Annie!

Banana chatting with Papa while he worked.
Winter is coming! The kids were freezing on Monday morning so I broke out the brand new hat and gloves and sent them on their way (I think Gary and Shannon's kids are still wearing shorts to school - ugg) - guess how many gloves came home in the afternoon? Two - one of each childs. Look how cute they look going off to school!

Lots to look forward to in the coming weeks - Baby Elizabeth, Auntie Beth coming home, Halloween, maternity leave - just to name a few! Not sure how much blogging I'll do and not sure if anyone wants to hear what I have to say since I'm really nasty but you've been warned!

Low Key Weekend!

Bob and Annie took a ride up to Webster yesterday so that Grandma Betty could see her other son - Uncle Tom - for her birthday. The big kids and I went to our 1st family faith festival at church in the morning and than kind of hung out and relaxed in the afternoon. My friend Tracey invited us over for dinner and fireworks last night and what a beautiful night! The kids had a blast and fell into bed exhausted - RH outdid themselves with 20 minutes (at least) of fireworks and Tracey made a delicious meal which even the kids ate!

Grandma, Uncle Tom and Annie celebrating Grandma's birthday!
Uncle Tom shows Annie the bear!

What a beautiful night for fireworks! The kids were so excited!
Of course, Peter does headstands when he's excited!
Susan and Brad - friends from Noah Webster enjoying the fireworks.
Annie loved the fireworks! How cute does she look in her little snowsuit?
Daddy and Annie watching the fireworks together - I got no snuggles from anyone - not fair!.
Kristin and Kevin watching the fireworks - notice the adults are all freezing while the kids could care less.
Finally the kids started getting cold but none of them put their jackets on!
The boys watching fireworks.
Pat and Tracey - our host and hostess - boy do they know how to give a party - fireworks in the backyard - I don't even think that Martha Stewart could manage that one!

Not sure what was up with Bob but he really did have fun!
Short post today because I have been having contractions all day and am a little worried that I should get some things done just in case Lizzie comes early. Everyone keeps telling me that my belly has dropped alot so maybe she is getting into position - who am I kidding right?
