We had a long day so I'm going to keep it short! I did promise some aunties pictures of their nephew with an update on his "injury"!

I love how Lizzie keeps her leg curled up even when she's sleeping!

Daddy and lizzie sharing a banana!

On Monday Annie came home from the babysitters exhausted - they refuse to let her sleep - poor kid! Just kidding - the babysitters are my wonderful parents and they make it so fun that she can't sleep!

Now she is trying a banana cookie! She loved it!

People are worried that Ellie is not fairly represented on the blog - please understand that although I did not end up making the blog private (just took it off of the internet connection) I still need to really watch the content with regard to Ellie. She is technically in state custody right now and we do not want to hurt our chances of adopting her. That being said - the state said that we could put pictures and minor details as long as we use discretion. I am pretty confident in my ability to do this well and once Ellie is ours you can bet that she will have as much face time as the rest of the family!

My blue eyed girl - I love seeing the kids in summer clothes!

I have no idea where my girl gets her love of bread??????

Okay - I do know but the whole butter thing is, in fact, a mystery!

Pete and I spent most of the afternoon in the doctor's office. We had three sets of x-rays and lots of consults to figure out that he has a buckle facture of the radial head and a joint effusion. I would love to explain what that means but the best I can do is give you the diagram.

The right radius runs all along the forearm or lower arm. What happened is that Peter fell so hard that the part of the bone (the head) that is in the elbow joint hit the humerus (the upper, much larger bone) and it caused a hairline fracture. The problem is that it is almost impossible to keep it immobile during diagnosis so there had already been more damage. We are going to see the ortho specialist tomorrow and will have more information. As far as a joint effusion that just means that he has abnormal fluid in his elbow which could either be his body's normal response to the break or something else!
My sweet boy is milking it for all its worth - I can't say I blame him. He wanted to talk to KK so I taught him how to text while we waited for everything to be done - what a mistake!
Annie was trying to make Peter laugh - it worked!
After Ibuprofen and a nice warm shower to get rid of all the germs from the doctor's office Pete fell asleep with Molly's body pillow propping his arm up!
Bob and I are both wiped out so I'm off to curl up on the sofa. I promise to update everyone tomorrow. In the meantime, please say a prayer for Peter that tomorow is not too difficult on him. As we all know (and love about him) Pete does not like anything that is not planned out ahead of time so these kind of trips are generally rough for him. That plus the intense pain that he is feeling make my heart break for him!
GNM - ILY!
