I'm Back and starting things off back at Easter 2016!

I am so happy to be back at the old blog again - I didn't realize how often the kids look at the old blog posts. I finally was allowed to begin posting pictures again after a moratorium from blogger because I was over capacity. They must have missed me because I got an e-mail inviting me back to post pictures in unlimited amounts. Easter was over 2 months ago and we have lots of other stuff to cover but we had a perfect day so I wanted to start here.
I always love to get a picture of the five kids in front of the picture tree - as you can tell from their expressions - they do not share my love for pictures.

Papa and Grammy and the 8 kids - since several of my kids couldn't wait to change clothes we did this in the beginning of the day.
I didn't realize that Peter was missing from that first one - now here are all 8 of the grandkids loving on Grammy and Papa.

Katie and Annie loving their day together.

I can never get my brother to just smile normal so this is a rare picture and I love it - everyone looks so happy and relaxed.

Grammy and Abby sharing a secret!

My Mom had the girls over the week before Easter to make up the table complete with centerpieces of tissue flowers and little beaded eggs to serve as napkin holders. The girls had a blast.

Grammy, Papa and the littles.

And this is how they all really look - they dress up nice but the smiles get bigger when they are in their play clothes.

Easter egg hunt!

The tweens got their own special Easter egg hunt and they loved every minute of it.

Ellie Bean opening her eggs.

Lizzie Bug loving her treasures.

Katie is  by far the most cooperative child for pictures - love that smile.

Apparently there were no seats available so Peter had to sit on Dad's lap.

Dessert time

Patrick and Katie enjoying a snuggle after dinner.

But we all know that Katie's favorite is her godfather.

And then there was a show. It may have been the kids subtle hint to Grammy and Papa that they miss Disney but it was also well choreographed and fun to watch.

This was my favorite part. Although Molly playing Papa was kind of comical as well.

The end of a wonderful show which included acting, singing and dancing. Tyler and Peter were the only ones who did not participate. They were way too cool.

The big kids posing for a picture.

A picture of the little outside playing in the yard.

Cartwheels - they never stop doing them.

And then there was our game. A picture scavenger hunt which turned out to be loads of fun and a great way to expend some energy after an awesome lunch and dessert. We split into two teams and then had to take pictures doing things like walking like ducks across the street, building a pyramid and spelling out a word with our bodies. We had a blast and got some good pictures.

Just a random picture of Team One - we thought we won at this point but it turns out my addition skills are pretty poor and the other team actually won.

This was not purposely blurry but I did feel like the scoring was off.

And another great part of the day - all of us juts sitting around talking and enjoying each other's company, The kids are finally old enough that we aren't constantly on the go and can just sit and talk and relax. And have a second round of dessert, of course.

Ellie got a little nap in on Uncle Pat's lap.

These two clowns!
It was a perfect Easter day. My mom prepared a phenomenal dinner, the desserts were amazing, the kids were happy to be together and enjoying each other's company and the adults actually got to sit and relax a bit. My parents managed to make every single moment of the day special for us and the kids and everyone was home and in bed by 8 for school the next day. It doesn't get better than that!
This is a short blog to start with but I can't wait to get back to regular blogging. Thanks for checking in!
