I know it's been a long time since I posted but life kind of got away from us over here in crazy land! Between pediatrician appointments and flu shots and dentist appointments and dance classes and soccer and then working and parties and fall fun it has felt like a long time since I had a moment to sit at the computer and write.
The kids are all doing great in school. It's a challenging year for the big kids with lots more homework and responsibility but they are rising to the challenge and finding their way. We have conferences in a few weeks so I will know a lot more but for now we are very proud of how hard everyone is working.
Every morning when the little girls leave for school I am amazed by how old they look. They are getting so grown up and more and more beautiful by the day. On this day I couldn't help but take a few pictures before they got on the bus!
My sweet girl loves posing next to the picture tree. Her smile is so darn sweet - I could stare at it all day.
Annie is loving her second year of kindergarten. We were worried about how she would do repeating a year of kindergarten but she loves every minute of it. She has Ms. Dorsey again and is strong and confident and doing a great job in kindergarten. We love to hear how the girls see each other at recess everyday and love to play together.
Ellie was in a bad mood on this particular day so I didn't get a whole lot of good pictures of her - or any!
My beauties getting on the bus - they are such big girls. Peter is always at least 5 minutes behind the girls! He needs a lot more time to get ready!
Bob and I wanted to venture out and have an adventure with the girls so we took advantage of the beautiful day and headed to the farm in town.
Daddy and his girls.
My Ellie Bean loved the hay ride and I love my Ellie Bean.
Everyone's favorite thing was the corn kernel pit - we spent a lot of time in there hanging out and watching the girls. Okay - I confess, Bob and I had a blast in there too.
Nap time for Lizzie!
Our girls loving the corn pit.
The hay maze was also a big hit!
The girls wanted me to take this picture and show it to the big kids so they could pretend it was a real shark - in a corn field - in Rocky Hill! It was cute!
I love Ellie's pose in this one. When I said they should go pose with the Indians Ellie screamed at the top of her lungs - "Yeah, Mama, I love Indians!"
How tall are they?
Checking out the cows!!
Ellie loved the little bikes - she was really speedy.
The tire plays cape.
Annie even met a friend at the corn maze - Yolanda is her friend from school.
pumpkin time!
Daddy's girl was very tired but loved our day at the farm.
Love those Ellie smiles.
Lizzie Bug loves jumping and running and the hay maze kept her occupied for a good long time.
When we came home from the farm the girls begged Bob to rake some leaves so they could jump in them. He couldn't resist so he raked up a small pile and then he and I drank coffee and talked in the back yard while the girls spent hours jumping. A perfect fall day!
Our sweet baby girl.
Look at that smile - Lizzie could not have been happier.
Taking a little rest together.
Annie thought the leaves were kind of rough so she rested on her sisters tummy instead.
My little ham.
The girls favorite thing to do is take old soda bottles and fill them with water so they can pretend they are adults drinking soda. They don't actually like the taste of soda - just the idea of it.
Love these monkeys.
My sweetie girls loving on each other.
This is what we use our clubhouse for these days - just another plays cape.
My little jumping bean.
We are still getting quite a big tomato harvest. Annie goes out to the garden after school and grabs a tomato so she can eat it like an apple.
Ellie had taken a little nap after the farm so when she woke up we re-raked the leaves so she could get a turn. How cute are these girls?
The littles!
Molly Girl is not as good about getting her picture taken as she used to be - I have to sneak them some times.
My beautiful girl!
Ellie Bean's turn in the leaves.
My three little monkeys jumping in the leaves together.
We got a lot of mileage out of that one tiny leaf pile and we had a beautiful day thanks to the wonderful weather and a pretty free schedule.
GNM -ILY!
