Life as we know it!

It is 8:28 in the evening and you will never believe it - Bob and I are alone in the living room. Not one child has made it past 8:15 on this lovely 4th Monday of the school year! When I say my kids are tired I am not exaggerating. Elizabeth asked to go to bed tonight and then gave up and climbed into her bed with her sister at a little after 8 to read books and relax! The big kids are just as wiped out from the long weeks and even longer weekends. I forgot how much fun it can be to miss the kids. The weekends feel like a big party now that the weeks are reserved for school, homework and chauffeuring to activities.
Last weekend the girls decided that they wanted to earn some money so they set up a stand to sell candy and tomatoes! You'd be surprised at how many people bought a little of each! They practiced their customer service skills and had some very happy patrons! A few kind and generous people even stopped and gave them a tip without buying anything.

Another day I came home from work to find Annie "Cooking" in the backyard. She had my pot and wooden spoons in the yard and was making dinner with mud and sticks and leaves. It was quite an operation!

This was one of the last really warm nights we had and the girls could not wait to head outside in their jammies and wave to all the cars going by while quizzing each other about the map.

One of our favorite days of the year is the first day of dance classes at Griffith Academy. Molly started out the week with Figures and then did Irish Competition, Jazz, Irish Choreography, Tap and Ballet throughout the week. She loved every single minute of it and came out smiling from every class. I'm not sure if Molly was happier to see her teachers, her friends or just to be back dancing again - either way it makes me so happy to see her doing something that she loves so much!

Annie Bananie was in Katie's class for both Irish Choreography and Ballet and they had a blast together - I think Annie would spend every waking moment with Katie if she could. As a special treat Auntie Christina, Auntie Meg and Lila and Brendan met us after dance class for ice cream cones!

The twins had a terrific first dance class. It is quite a feat getting them to class on time since they get out of school at 3:25 and class starts at 3:45 but they love it and we love to watch them dance so we are making it work.

The four littles after their first dance class. The best part of dance class for my girls was that Katie got to come home with us after and have pizza and play all night! It was a perfect Friday night!
Our bus stop finally got changed this week so it picks the kids up right in front of our house! It is so much easier than driving a few blocks to load everyone on to the bus - especially when the bus drive right by our house to get to our stop!

My handsome teenager in his Noah Webster uniform - we finally got our official shirts with the little logo! He looks so handsome going off in the morning!
We had a great birthday party for Molly girl and I plan to post those pictures very shortly but for now I am going to enjoy the quiet with Bob and maybe get to bed a little earlier than our normal midnight!
GNM - ILY!
