So PROUD of our big kids!

We had a wonderful trip to Philadelphia last month but while we were gone we missed a very important event in the Harding-Wheeler house. Molly and Peter both were the Citizen of the Month at Noah Webster for October. One of the things we love about Noah Webster (other than incredible teachers, passionate staff and an amazing learning environment) is the emphasis placed on things like citizenship, that are truly integral to a strong education. Peter and Molly pay close attention to the handouts that we get each month from school describing important character traits that they are learning about and both of them try very hard to do what it takes to be good citizens. As a parent it makes my heart swell with pride that they both have gotten the award each year that they have been at NW. Unfortunately - we could not get back from Philidelphia in time for them to attend the award ceremony. Yesterday their recognition forms were sent home and I thought all of the proud aunties and grandparents might enjoy hearing about why they got their awards.

I love this picture - the kids are wearing their red scarves from the WORLD AIDS DAY celebration last night at Oasis.

Peter Westley Harding
Peter works very hard completing his classwork and homework.
He comes to school on time and works well with his peers.
Peter is a great role model and a wonderful citizen.
That's my boy! We are so proud of him!
Mary Catherine Harding
Molly is a caring, trustworthy citizen.
She always takes care of herself, others and her school.
Molly always demonstrates respect and responsibility.
Molly is a great role model and a super citizen!
Yeah, Molly! We are so proud of her!

The days seem to be getting busier and busier as the holidays get closer. At night we pile the kids in the car and go look at Christmas lights - basically because I am too lazy to put them up on our house! Molly and Peter are both playing basketball this year and I love watching them learn and make friends. This weekend Miss Ellie turns ONE! No more babies in the H-W house now - only toddlers - 3 of them! Doesn't get much better than celebrating birthdays and holidays surrounded by family, friends and a house full of kids!
GNM - ILY!
