Is it possible that just a year ago we met Elizabeth for the very first time? Well - KK was pretty darn intimate with the kid for the last few months of my pregnancy - in fact Lizzie was inside of my body but KK may have been closer to her at that point with all of the rubbing, talking and loving that she did - just another miracle of my childrne's lives that they are loved before they are born!
Well anyways - I brought Papa's computer to Philly with us but have been unable to acces the $40 a day Wireless that my boss is paying for so have been unable to blog.
Rest assured there will be a very large blog to post when I get home but just to tease you there was the Consitution Museum where Peter and Molly dressed up as Supreme Court judges (ahhhhh - Mommy loved this one), then there was The Melting Pot Restaurant where the kids - Annie included - dipped everything in cheese, oils and for dessert - chocolate. We visited City Hall, the Liberty Bell, Independance Hall, the Betsey Ross Museum, The Franklin Institute of Science and the Please Touch Museum. We ate in Reading Terminal and had some room service delivery of blueberry pancakes! We are having an amazing time with the kids - I always forget how nice it is to go out and spend a few days just hanging out as a family - Annie, Ellie and Lizzie each feel asleep on me at some point today and Peter and Molly and I had an in depth discussion about how I knew Bob was the one for me and why we like to be alone sometimes. It is pure heaven getting to know the kids on a whole other level - away from the everyday noise and routine and in a city with so much to do and see and kids who love to explore!
I'll leave you there for now but with the most common quote repeated on this H-W vacation - "Auntie Karla would LOVE this." We love our favorite history teacher and have many treasures for her when we return - things the kids were sure she would absolutely need in order to teach history! Tomorrow we leave for CT - with a quick stop at Saint Francis Inn if we can finally get a hold of Father Mike! Hopefully we'll be home for dinner and some Grammy, Papa, Auntie and Uncle hugs and kisses! GNM - ILY!
