I am way behind on updating the blog but I have been a feeling a bit under the weather lately and the kids are.............well, they're kids! They are requiring some serious attention of late and it doesn't leave much time for blogging. That being said - I wouldn't have it any other way and as the summer winds down I am so grateful for the time we have had as a family. Last weekend Bob and I took a few days off at the end of the week and went to stay with my parents at the beach house. My mom has been asking us to do this for 2 summers but I was feeling like we are a lot of work as houseguests and are probably better day trippers. This year we finally took her up on it and it was wonderful. There is nothing better as a mom of five then going home and being spoiled by your own Mom. I slept late, ate better than ever and got the joy of being with my husband and kids with both of my parents. On Friday night Bob and I got to go out alone and talk for a while and on Saturday the Fife and Drum parade was happening right up the street - does it get better than that?
The only thing that could make it better was having Uncle Ig and Auntie LuAnn stop over and visit on their trip back east. Uncle Ig and Lizzie spent some time getting to know each other!I love this one!Big smiles all around!Auntie LuAnn got in on the action but Lizzie was not quite sure!Lizzie and Auntie LuAnn - poor Ellie slept through the entire visit!A Peter hug!Peter and Molly got in on the pictures with the siblings!A rose between two pretty big thorns!Sisters!Annie was sick of waiting for Daisy! Finally!Annie making her hard decision - what ice cream to get!Lizzie didn't get any ice cream but she got to snuggle with Daddy.Annie gets comfy on her blanket at the parade on a very hot Saturday morning!Daddy and Molly - the guns scared Molly initially because she was not expecting them!Lizzie - hanging out in the stroller for about 5 minutes before the Papa and the godmother freed her!Pete found his heaven in the shade!I'm so jealous - Auntie Meg got a VERY long hug when she picked Lizzie up!Still hugging! The twins get some Papa time! This little boy marched the entire way - how cute is he?Ellie was SO nosy - she wanted to see everything and everyone and she and Lizzie both started rocking every time a band came by!A quick nap for Annie!Ann moved her chair so she could be like Grammy! And then Grammy let her strip down - did I mention that it was REALLY hot out!And just as we were beginning to melt the rain started for a few minutes and cooled things down - perfect!Annie waiting out the rain!Back at home the big kids dress Lizzie up again!Auntie Ann and the girls!Auntie Ann and lots of girls - Julia came over for a playdate on Sunday but my camera was dead so I hardly got any pictures!Daddy took this one because he could not get over how adorable she was while being bathed. Look at her sitting up so straight!Silly girlSometimes Lizzie looks like a little china doll to me - her skin is so soft and beautiful.Annie and Tiffany or "Auntie Piff" as Annie refers to her!Tiffany left to go back to college - we are going to miss her so much but no one as much as Annie. She can not get enough of Tiffany and asks for all the time. Lizzie had just woken up but we made her take some pictures since it was Tif's last day with us! Molly already wrote Tiffany two letters!Annie loves going to football with Daddy - here she is all packed up with her baby and her purse - I love it!
BTW - Peter has decided to stop doing football - the committment was huge (6 days a week) and Peter really didn't enjoy it so we decided to stop now and concentrate on school.
Lizzie and Ellie playing with the blankets - yes - they play together! I love watching them together and the sound of them laughing is just amazing!Lizzie was looking really cute and I decided to indulge in a photo shoot.I know it is blurry but there is something about this picture that I just love - that innocent, porcelan face!My photo shoot went down hill quickly so I quit while I was ahead but I still love the pictures - she's so cute!
This video is really dark but I thought it was so cute watching Annie get excited for Daisy to get to the beach house! No one is as popular as Daisy the ice cream lady! I'm off to catch up on my DVR shows while Bob is at poker making us some money! GNM - ILY!

PROUD to note that when Annie got ready for football, she chose to bring not only the purse I got Molly at Libby Lu's but the baby & carrier I bought Annie on my last trip home...go Auntie Beth...
