I love weekends!

We just got back from my parents house where we watched the UCONN Women trounce Vermont. I love basketball season because it is a good excuse for my family to get together - not that we need a reason but Auntie Kake comes over and sometimes we even get one or two of her kids and we order pizza and watch the game. Then my mom whips out some incredible dessert and we leave hardly able to walk because we are so stuffed. What could be better?

Elizabeth was being so cute and Meg thought her hair looked like a beetle - I thought she meant a bug but she actually meant a Beatle!
Pretty girl!

I love those little lips!

Bob was sitting on the couch with the two babies and they were just soaking in the sun - not fazed at all by the sun in their eyes. Lizzie in particular seemed to face the sun when she could and just enjoy it.

Ellie enjoying the sun and Daddy's arms.
Lizzie beth with the sun on her face and happy with her Daddy!

Sister Anne got the babies matching outfits and I, of course, missed my opportunity to get pictures of them in them together but I did get cute pictures of Ellie. We even found a matching bow for her hair.
Ellie had her 2 month check up even though she is 3 months. She got 4 shots and an oral polio vaccine. She ended up getting a fever yesterday and not feeling well but she is mostly just sleeping it off.

Ellie weighed in at 12 pounds 8 ounces and was 24 inches. Given her birthweight and height that puts her in the 95th percentile for both. In other words - she is going to be huge like her brother.
Ellie is the picture of health and her hernia actually shrunk quite abit so it looks like we may not need to do surgery if it keeps shrinking. Birth to three came last week and will begin to provide services in a few days for some muscle tightness and minor developmental delays. Mostly it is a precaution and due to her background.

Sister Ancie had a rough week as she lost her best friend and fellow nun Sister Pat. Sister Pat would have celebrated her diamond jubilee next year - that's 75 years as a nun! Sister Ancie is celebrating her 75th in April - Amazing! Unfortunately we were unable to attend any of the services because of Bob's father but our thoughts and prayers were with with Sister Ancie and the sisters of Mercy. I particularly loved this part of Sister Pat's obituary!
"Deeply in love with God and with religious life, Sister Pat embraced life with a sense of wonder and awe and lived it to the fullest. Born with an Irish heart, a twinkle in her eye and a quick wit, she was not one to take life too seriously and always enjoyed a good time."
We brought the kids over to offer our sympathy and visit with Auntie Ann, Sister Anne and Sister Ancie.
Lizzie getting some quality time with Auntie Ann.
Sister Ancie loves her baby time! The babies just melt into her arms.

Auntie Ann got us an Edible Arrangement and the kids LOVED it! We sat around eating fruit for most of the night last night. Annie loved eating it like a lollipop.
Molly and Daddy sharing a pineapple daisy!
Peter loved the strawberries but I'm not sure about that face!
There's my sweet baby boy!

Annie making a silly face with her grapes.

Loving the grapes!

She polished off ALOT of fruit!
And then we did a craft - Annie loved painting but it was Molly who worked dilligently on a project for Auntie Beth. Tax season can not end soon enough for us - we MISS Auntie Beth. Molly is counting on a sleepover in her room one night when Auntie Beth comes home - this I have to see!
Bob took these while I was at CVS last night - the babies holding hands - how sweet!

I didn't take any pictures at my parents house - I just sat and enjoyed the game! The Las Vegas and San Diego Russells updated their blogs so take a look!
GNM - ILY!
