Double Digits!

On August 11, 2000 God rocked the world when Peter Westley Harding - Wheeler was born at 9:42 p.m.. At the time I didn't know he existed yet and his name was Lorenzo Desmond but somewhere in my heart I was getting ready for the best and most beautiful blessing in the world. On August 16, 2000 I headed to Hartford Hospital with Auntie Kate and Auntie Mary to meet the tiny little creature that would change my life forever and teach me more about the world than anyone else! Peter nestled into my arms that day and has fit perfectly in them ever since!
The pictures are out of order but you get the idea! Pete had a wonderful birthday that turned out louder than we expected - thanks to the drum set we bought him! He is blessed with family and friends that adore him and parents who love nothing more than to celebrate his life!

One of my favorite pictures of Peter Westley Harding - Wheeler
Peter gets a hug from his godmother on his birthday! When Peter was a baby he spent a good deal of time curled up on KK's chest and he still loves to be tucked into one of her hugs!

He couldn't do this when he was born!

My handsome boys!

Uncle Colin indulged Pete in some poker on his birthday and Peter's best friend Lucas came over for the day to hang out with Peter and celebrate!

Happy Birthday, Peter!

Grammy and Papa came home from the beach to be with Peter on his birthday - he is so lucky!

Grammy and Papa brought his very own set of poker chips and a pineapple!

Pete's 1st call of the day - Auntie Meg!
Enjoying his day with his sister!

Peter and his sisters opening presents! Ellie was still asleep!

First thing in the morning there was the birthday muffin!

We had a great time celebrating Peter and the day he was born. Nothing could have prepared me 10 years ago for how fast this time would go by. Peter is a blessing beyond anything I ever expected and our life is filled with joy because of him and his sisters! When I asked Pete what the best part of his birthday was - his response was "I just love being loved by everyone, Mom!"

A Grateful Heart

What better day than my birthday to introduce my new niece and nephew and to count my blessings! On Aungust 3, 2010 Auntie Meg gave birth to these two beautiful little angels - FINALLY! It feels like we have been waiting for them forever! Auntie Meg was amazing - worked all night, in labor for 18 hours and then gave birth to both babies and still managed to entertain company all day and night in the hospital and was gracious enough to share the babies with all of us.

Meg managed to make me feel very special by coming to the beach house for my birthday - Lila and Brendan's very 1st outing since leaving the hospital. And on top of it they were dressed in their Auntie shirts - what a treat! I can't imagine loving these two little bundles any more than I do right now and they are only 6 days old! I am so grateful to be a part of their lives!

I always like to count my many blessings on my birthday but I have to be honest - there are alot of them this year. Bob is the most amazing husband in the world - kind, gentle, passionately loving with me and the best father I have ever met. The kids are healthy, happy and loved by many people. My parents are young, vital and unbelievably supportive of our family. I have dozens of family that I adore who all live in close proximity to our house and visit often. My best friends are my cousins who are supportive and loving, not just of me but my entire family. I have a job that I love and co-workers that I genuinely respect and admire. We have a house that provides a home for our family, a church community that embraces us and the resources to never need for anything! I am blessed beyond belief and thank God everyday for the life that I have been given! It doesn't get much better than this!
I have lots of baby pictures and birthday beachhouse pictures to add later in the week!

Random pictures and Grammy's birthday

I am getting worse and worse at updating the blog so I figured I would get some pictures up quickly and then caption them if I had time. It certainly is not a matter of having nothing to talk about or nothing going on - there is always something going on on this house!
One day this week Annie woke up for the day at 3:45 a.m. She proceeded to fall asleep at 7 a.m. covered in blankets!
Lizziebug at Grammy's birthday celebration!

The birthday girl and just a few of her grandchildren! The kids were excited for icecream cake and to find out how old Grammy was!

Grammy and the girls opening presents!

I would like to say that grammy gets the royal treatment on her birthday but we never have any idea what to get her. This year Karla and I got her the same thing - books! In our world you can never have too many books!

One day last week I was having a bad day so the kids walked to Stop and Shop with Bob and got me flowers. What a lucky mom, I am!

One of the greatest blessings in the H-W house is the swing set that my parents neighbors gave us when their kids outgrew it. I am amazed at how often we are outside in the yard pushing swings and playing thanks to that wonderful playscape!

KK and Ellie on the swings.
Lizzie loves to do anything that her big sister does so she is actually learning to pump her legs already! Molly is such a wonderful big sister - she spends a whole lot of time pushing Lizzie and Annie on the swings and teaching them how to pump their legs to keep going!

Ellie grabbing for leaves! Yes - she is still in her pajamas - we have actually had neighbors offer to help us buy shoes for our kids because they are always outside in their pajamas and with no shoes on. I happen to love the grass between my toes so I don't worry too much about it!
Lizzie loves her fluff!
Auntie Beth sent us one of her famous care packages and the kids had a blast!
Lizzie all decked out thanks to Auntie Beth!
That's it for now! Lots more to post later!
