First Holy Communion

We feel so lucky that Peter and Tyler were able to make their 1st Communion together. The boys looked amazing and were both very proud of themselves onces they had received their sacrament. It was a wonderful day!
It is no secret that my beautiful son had some major issues with being the center of attention at his First Reconcilliation and was very nervous about his 1st Communion. As Father Stu explained to us - right now First Communion is about the intentions of the parents. At this point Peter is not making a decision to be a catholic - Bob and I are making it for him and we are so grateful for the love and support of our family, friends and church family. Peter and Tyler both made their First Communion on Saturday in a very moving church ceremony at Saint Elizabeth Seton. They had a children's choir and many lovely touches that made the day special. Peter got up and made his First Communion with the help of his wonderful teacher Mrs. Fleck. She held his hand, stood with him and let him know that she was right there with him. For his part, Peter was reverent, respectful and, as he put it, "Happy on the inside!" He struggled to get up and do it but once he had received his sacrament he was so proud of himself. It was truly a wonderful day for Bob and I to see Peter take another step in his life as a Catholic - we are so blessed.

Our Angel - looking so happy after his 1st Communion!

Peter with two people who made this day possible by being wonderful role models for him. His amazing godparents - KK and Uncle Pat.
KK was late to a friend's wedding so that she could be at the church for Peter's special day and for his part, Peter could not sit still until he had KK in full view!
I have many more pictures - this is to tide you over until I have more time to post them!

Happy First Reconcilliation

Today was a very long - very tiring day for the kids but they did great! Peter and Molly both made their First Reconcilliation today. I won't say it was uneventful but we made it through and Bob and I are so proud of our two big kids! Next weekend is Peter's First Communion and we are so excited! Molly will make hers next year so this year she is just going to support her brother as he makes his communion. Today molly was the very first child to make her reconcilliation and when she was done she came over and sat with Peter as he waited for his turn - she told him not to worry and let him know exactly what had happened when she went in to see the priest! It was very sweet!
Molly was very nervous but she did great! And she looked beautiful, as well!

Cutting the beautiful cakes that Auntie Ann made for them to mark this special day!

The rest of the pictures are just silly pictures from this afternoon when everyone woke up from their naps. Lizzie and Annie were hot and took their tops off - I think it makes them even cuter! I'm not going to caption them because blogger is SO slow! Trust me - they don't need captions! Make your way to the bottom and see Ellie Bean taking a bunch of steps - so exciting! It's finally spring and we are loving being outside! I have some pictures from earlier this week but wanted to get these up first! Bear with me - there are lots of them!

We miss our Auntie's who are visiting Auntie Beth in California - this is the first time since learning about Brendan and Lila that i have gone more than one day without seeing them and Auntie Meg - AHHHHHHHH! I guess the news that Auntie Meg and KK (hope this isn't a secret!!!) will both be permenant Rocky Hill residents by the end of June will get us through! YEAH!
This morning was hard and Peter really struggled but God is good because by the middle of the day we were reminded about all of the blessings that God has given us. We all took a big deep breath, had a family dinner, played in the yard and watched a movie. It was a perfect evening - just what we all needed! Tomorrow we are headed to Gammy and Papa's with Auntie Karla and Uncle Pat and the kids to have one of Grammy's famous brunches! I can't wait! GNM - ILY!
